CHRIS MAGERL & THE BURNING FLAGS

On November 5, 2021, CHRIS MAGERL & THE BURNING FLAGS released their debut album "Sand Timer" on SBÄM Records. The 12 songs (10 plus 2 bonus tracks) on the record are a mix of punk and indie tracks as well as songs that embrace the spirit of classic singer/songwriter tunes. Despite all the different genres the songs come together perfectly and the band manages to create an album that sounds authentic as a whole.

The title was chosen because all the lyrics on Sand Timer are related to the matter of time. CHRIS MAGERL & THE BURNING FLAGS deal with political issues as well as stories about people’s everyday lives. Ironically time also played a big part in the making of the record, as the production had to be postponed a few times due to the pandemic. One of the highlights is a feature with The Detectors from Germany, who added some vocals to the song "What’s The Point".
